After beating the game, you start over with each Challenge being longer, with harder requirements, harder monsters, etc. I think it would work quite well with the Challenge map. Those cards then become important to survive the harder challenges so you have a similar progression. When you beat them you get a "super" version of one of the cards that has better effects - like having more success cards or easier dice rolls. The balance to this is having access to a larger deck, which lets you tech your deck out properly (something that never got used as much as it should in HoF1). Having New Game+ gives a chance to get those difficult-to-get cards (Damn you White Minotaur!) without having to search for them in the entire card pool via Endless Mode. The difference would be having all the cards unlocked. But would much rather see those machanics bloom in a hardcore mode where the game is way more harder. But couldn't the same thing just be achieved if we got a harder difficulty?īecause I quite like the sound of that. Like, doing the jack of dust more than like the first time made it so you just stomped the encounter in like 10 minutes since there's only like 5 cards in it and no curses.

What i would've liked to see in Hand of Fate 1 for a new game plus is being able to go through all of the previous encounters but have them be a bit longer/more sinister curses to account for the fact you have more cards unlocked. I think Hand of Fate is much more fun when it's more difficult. On that note, what I really hope is added, is a hard mode. Not trying to discredit the idea but what would change from doing it in new game plus and just playing through from the start of the challenges after beating it once?
